In this video you will see a few short clips from Adams playlist of making each component, and 1 stainless steel weld and 1 aluminum along with a few tips for passing an aerospace welding test.
So the main block of the fixture is 3”x6”x12 .
There is a groove and a cavity milled into one side for the argon tube and the copper insert.
Adam used his shaper for beveling the hold down bars which are steel.
A groove was milled in the copper insert and argon ports were drilled every 1/4” or so.
One of the last steps was to make the brass tube that inserts the full length of the fixture cavity.
A nameplate with the abom79 and weldmonger logos topped it off.
For this video, I welded 1 304L stainless .063” plate and 1 6061 t6 .063” plate.
